IT Grafisk is a modern one-stop printer in Oslo with roots dating back to 1917. They set high standards for themselves delivering high quality at a reasonable price.
For this site I wanted to make something very clean and user friendly, something that many printer’s websites lack. Most users will have one of 4 clear objectives when visiting the site: Get advice on printing, ask for a quote on a job, send files to the printer or download templates for print jobs. I made four icons for visual hooks that I used throughout the site to lead the user to their goals.
This site was also a first for me, in that all the photos on the site was taken by myself. Photos included portraits of employees, products and from the workshop itself. I used a Canon EOS 5D mark II and a remote triggered flash through a white umbrella for most of the shots.
To give this clean and simple website more eyecandy, a lot of animations were used – especially for the home page. These were done with jQuery and Mootools and raplaces flash in many respects, thus enhancing the usabillity of the site. No flash was used at all on this site.
The site also features a ajax-driven search-engine, giving the user instant feedback for search-string inputs.
